| | | Fungi for ID please First was growing in conifer / beech plantation as describred by Jaybie in earlier post but I don't see any striations. Is it a Tricholoma?
This was growing in open sheep / cattle grazed grassland. Is it Stropharia semiglobata? |

| | | Re: Fungi for ID please They are supposed to be specific to conifers, but so is G.hybridus which is difficult to separate from G.penetrans, also I have found something very similar on Birch many times and must be one or the other.
Some authors lump the two species together, but Phillips says 'research shows them to be distinct'.
