Possible Orange-red Wax Cap?...

Found this fungus yesterday, growing on its own and in a field.

My guess is that it's a member of the Wax Gill family, perhaps a Hygrocybe strangulata.

Most likely the file size is too large, try to save them as a .gif and reduce the size to less than 1mb....

Welcome to WAB. It's not always easy to embed an image in your first post but remember to upload to the WAB galleries first; and if you use the Image library rather than the main Gallery the waiting time for moderation and size limitations don't apply. When uploaded copy the address line under your image for Linked Thumbnail

I managed to upload 2 pictures of the fungus... just trying to add them to this thread now.

They are in the main Gallery awaiting moderation and more than likely will be rejected because they are not labelled correctly. Best to use the Images library in this instance.

(You can link them immediately using the Forum Code address but this will become a broken link if subsequently rejected.)
