The biggest Blewit I've ever found!

One of the Blewits I found this afternoon in Belgrad Forest, Istanbul, Turkey, is the biggest I've ever found. The cap is 15 cm in diameter. I've heard that Blewits are very popular in the UK. I think you'll be interested.
Has anyone found a bigger one than this? I mean could they be bigger?

I once found one next door in Northern Iraq measuring 15.5 cm, but that turned out to be a roadside bomb disguised as a wood .... or should that be a sand blewit, so I didn't pick it.
The Army came along and blewit up.

Good question MM, that very same question is currently being discussed on another thread of mine, Neil in fact raised the comment that there is so much variation between the illustrations of L.sorida in the available literature, that some just have to have got it. That said according to the books I have the differences seem minimal, Take a look at mine see how it compares....

some years ago we used to find L.saeva the size of dinner plates on a regular basis, since then ive hardly found any at all, (probably due to all the old meadows dissapearing under mr barratts little houses) , the last one being on sunday and that was only a 4" tiddler

A couple of weeks after I'd read this thread, I found one which I'd have called "a giant one" ! Unfortunately it was almost rotten, full of warms!
