This is an interesting one for me, still unidentified,
Area Found found in Oak woodland, growing on fallen rooting, moss-covered oak trees in abundance, in clumps of 2-4 spead all over 2 fallen trees in the same area,
Cap irregular shape, thick in the centre to almost leafy thin on the edges, edges downturned even when large and old, orange brown, size 5-15cm, speckled with dark brown/black spots on top and underside of cap which vary in size from 1-4mm.
Flesh firm yellow/beige, solid, floppy almost rubbery feel, appears to be signs of maggots, pores very tiny, in fact almost impossible to make out pores without magnifing glass, and even then only clear in cross section, smells mealy quite strong, if queezed excreats clear slightly think liquid.
Spore printnot sure yet, in progress,
Stem 2-5cm darker brown at base, solid, rubbery.
Any ides???
