| | | Horse Mushroom I think, please help with ID I am pretty sure of this one, found in mixed woodland, cap is around 50-100mm, stem 150mm, spore print purple-brown, slight smell of aniseed, bruising slightly yellow......
Appreciate confirmation, thanks...... Stewart |

I wouldn't have thought you'd find Agaricus arvensis in mixed woodland, i't usually a grassland species. Having said that I have no idea what yours is!

| | | Re: Horse Mushroom I think, please help with ID Gills were almost white when I picked this, gradually turning fleshy pale pinkish, on the larger specimen which is older were a grey/brown when picked and have turn dark brown since, the cap was a breamy white when picked, now it is darkening brown.... |

| | | Re: Horse Mushroom I think, please help with ID Free gills, ring on the stem, dark brown spores, smelling of aniseed, flesh staining yellow - together these point to Agaricus... which is where I'll leave it and hand over to someone else.
