| | | Specialist books Just spent a few hours in the company of some mycologists and proficient amateurs, who introduced me to the six volumes of Fungi of switzerland, Fungi Nordica, two beautiful volumes of illustrations with text in german by Ludwig(?) and several others that i was too busy gorping at to take in. I can see why some of you guys bang on about them so much now, they really are special. My much loved library is looking a bit lack luster now, but for a while will have to do.

no need to do so, they are already in German .
But there are english summaries to each species.
By the way, the prices for Fungi of Switzerland seem quite high in Britain, as far as I have seen in some web sites. May be it's cheaper to buy in my store (= 535 Euro + 15 Euro S/H).
best regards,
Andreas

best regards,
Andreas | Sorry Andreas, i meant could you help me translate my letter to santa into german. I was advised to buy the ludwig books of plates and then use Nordica for the text, possibly not the most loyal to the author approach but easier on the wallet. I have taken a look at your key in english and to be honest its a bit over my head but i will take it along to the institute next week and show them, they tend to use keys a lot. Many thanks by the way for helping back in the summer confirming my find of Strobiliformis floccopus, it looks like it was one of the most south eastern recordings for the uk. Now all i have to do is find it again for confirmation. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
