| | | Re: Newbie would appreciate ID's Lovely pics Mally.
It helps with ID if you can get an underside shot of the gills and stipe, if you can. When there are plenty around like this, it's ok to take one to photograph the underside if you can't get your camera round it.
No 6 is probably common earthball...the rest I wouldn't like to guess at, I'm no expert. |

1 is Hypholoma fasciculare i think
2 i'll have a stab at Mycena inclinata though i've been wrong on this before!
3 could be Stereum hirsutum
4 might be a Hebeloma
5 Mycena not sure what spp though
6 Scleroderma not sure which though
thats my two cents

tom

| | | Re: Newbie would appreciate ID's No 2 has all the hallmarks of Mycena galericulata growing in a large troop on wood with a distinct umbo.
No 5 also as a large group on wood but with a definite two tone yellow/brown stipe M inclinata.

Mal | If you click on No 2 for the largest view you can get a better view of the stipe colour. I'd say it also has the distinctive yellowish tones of Mycena inclinata, and the distinctive edge of the cap points in that direction too.
No. 4 is another Hypholoma, possibly Hypholoma fasciculare as well.

Ken | OK so you could be right with No2
