| | | Re: mere sands wood Right lets see what we can do then.
1. Maybe Lepista nuda, but it could also be a nasty Cortinarius species.
2. Birch Polypore
3. Turkey Tail.
4. Postia caesia.
5. Common Earthball.
6. Sulphur Tuft.
7. Possibly dry Buttercaps (Collybia butyraceae)
8. A type of Oysterling (Crepidotus sp.)
9. Lepista nuda.
So, that's 9 questions @ £1 a shot + VAT. £10 please.
Neil.

| | | Re: mere sands wood if it's any help i do remmber number 8 was on a fallen conifer twig, found on the floor. the view you see there is how we found it. with the gills up wards.
there were also 2 other types of earthball /puffball one which looked similar to that one but instead of the little yellow segments with the brown centers being all together they were separated by white areas, and one which was much smoother and plain white, or at least i'm assuming they were other species not just variants on the same one.
no doubt bornwild has pics of theses also.
