Is this Clitocybe geotropa or Lepistra gilva both look similar in my book and grow in same habitate could not detect any smell. Thanks Sylv

This could even be a Lactarius species, did you check to see if the gills produced 'milk' ?

Neil. | Habitat was edge of deciduous wood in dune slack on sandy siol. Sorry I did not check for milk in gills only just started to try and identify fungi so forget to check the finer pionts.

| | | Re: ID please I've been trying to identify the dried up leaves in your photos - if they are Birch, then it's possible you have Lactarius pubescens, judging by the hairy cap surface, clearly shown when photo is enlarged.
