Please help with fungus id

Very irregular shape found growing in woods on a fallen tree. Cap about 100mm across, and as can be seen the gills are pink in colour.

The second photo looks like Pink Waxcap - Hygrocybe calyptriformis

about the right size too 60-120mm. But that's just a guess.

It looks something like a Pink Waxcap, but can't be as this was growing on a log.

I think it might be a weather damaged Mycena pura.

Initial thoughts were of a teratologic form of Mycena pura (a quick sniff to check for a raphanoid aroma may have done the trick ) However, it's growing on wood so I doubt it's what I thought. Pink gills and growing on wood suggests Pluteus to me (esp. with a woody stipe) so that's all I'll say
