| | | Re: purplish fungi for ID thankyou, i thought it could have been a Lepista species but for some reason couldn't pinpoint it. i think because it was purple all over and i thought they had a buffish cap but i guess they can be variable
thanks again

| | | Re: purplish fungi for ID Variation can be such a pain in the backside- I've never seen any species of Lepista so 'lanky'. It's all about field experience...and I need more...MOOOORE!!!

| | | Re: purplish fungi for ID Then you should have got your backside down to Suffolk Nick, you would have learnt so much from the BMS week long foray.
I was hoping you'd make a surprise guest appearance.

| | | Re: purplish fungi for ID An unavoidable absence Neil as everything has been up in the air. Long hours at work, sorting out broken boiler, fixing things in the new house, supporting my girlfriend and occasionally popping out for a 15 minute walk to clear my head. Unfortunately, mycology comes in a close second to my peace of mind However, things are gradually coming together and so I'd say that I'll be out and about again soon. Hopefully join you soon Neil |
