| | | ID Please Out walking with the camera along side a Yorkshire beck, my way was 'discouraged' by some guys harvesting some ducks in a shoot, i.e. they were shooting and I didn't want to get too close, I'm sure had I wanted to pass there would have been no problem, ANYWAY, i had cause to pause, as they say, and my interest was taken by the remains of a pretty big tree that must have been sawn down quite some time ago. Pretty much camoflaged amongst the leaf litter was this fungus. Unfortunately I didn't have a more appropriate lens to get closer, lower. I was taken by what seemed to be serated edges, but I guess this may be the function of some wear on the edges of the caps? It would be great if you could help with some sort of id. Thanks |

This is a nice group of Mycena. It has an umbo so could be M arcangeliana but I think it is M inclinata which has a more yellow stem. Both of these can have caps darker than normal in these wet cold days of early winter.
