Right, after repeated failures to post this and constantly getting to "Page Not Found" every time I press the "Submit New Thread" button (only on the Fungi Forum for some reason

) I am going for one last-ditch attempt.
Is this Mycena pura? Found all by itself in leaf litter on 5th November in a Cotswold Beechwood. Strong smell, definitely NOT "mushroomy" but other than that I can't say what it was. It lingered on my hands for a while so I was walking along sniffing my fingers but still failed to work out what it smelled of...
Edit: Now it's posted I can add that I never considerd M. pura to start with as this solo specimen was much paler than those I have seen before as well as not being part of a small troop.
Any help or suggestions welcome - although I realise it would need microscopy to give e definite ID.
