They are very nice but I personnaly wouldn't eat them than open.
I stumbled across an amazing growth of them in September and picked 20 unopened or just opened caps. They were scrummy  but they muust be well cooked.
Also beware of possibility of confusion with M. Veneata no a good one as the name suggests but I don't think they're common
