Just a heads up to any forayers in the wiltshire area - on the ridgeway national trail upham section - from the aldbourne road heading towards liddington - on the alternative footpath and margins which runs parallel to the track there are litterally tonnes of fungi
I'm no expert so i cant give you species - but in a half mile section i counted ten different sorts , from little white ones, to little fluffy brown ones, to big clumpy white ones, to spotty brown ones to brackets on trees (you can tell I have the mycological knowledge of a small wombat cant you

)
I'll post some pictures as soon as i get round to downloading the card and resizing etc - in the meantime if anyone does go up there I'd be very interested in your findings ( I'm the ridgeway national trail officer so am always interested in the biodiversity of the trail corridor - especially if anything unusual or rare needs to be taken into account when managing)
