Russulas can be tricky devils but there don't seem to be too many with a pink stipe. Are the gills yellow enough for R. sardonia or is this more like R. torulosa? Or something else entirely?  
Edit - forgot to say that we found this with a couple of feet of the Lactarius...

Hello,
I think this is Russula sardonia. The gills are yellow enough for me.
If you have ammoniac vapour, you can put some on the gills and wait for some 10 or 20 minutes or so. In Russula sardonia you will recieve a red reaction.
