| | | Is this Daedalia quercina? I couldn't tell what this was growing on, so I can't be sure it was oak. I don't think it only grows on oak anyway does it? |

Judging by its appearance and the labyrinth/lamella-like pore surface I would say you are on a safe bet with Daedalea quercina - Oak Mazegill: Its impersonators in the shape of Lenzulites betulinus, Daedaleopsis confragosa and Gloeophyllum spp all have more finely divided pore surface. It is also said to grow on Castenea.
