It is on the small side for M galericulata, no visible inter-veining and no pink tinge to the gills in the mature specimen makes me lean towards M stipata

Mal | Having been pointed in the right direction by Neil, I wondered about M oortiana or alcalina. They are not as delicate looking as some of the Mycena

| | | Re: cream/whiteFungus to identify M oortiana is now M arcangeliana does not normally open out to the same extent as your find. M alcalina has been split into M silvae-nigrae and M stipata. Unfortunately both of these last two should only be found on conifer  The keys I use (without the micro details) take me back to M galericulata  or possibly M vitilis.
