| | | Rain at last! Amazing how the rain has brought out all the fungi, there has really been very little around here up until recently but now that it's rained they're everywhere.
Out for a walk in Essex yesterday, here are some of my finds:
Sorry about the cap photo - was in a bit of a hurry. Putting down as nuda due to the gill colour. Nice to see a 'blue' one at last, I've found them before but only old rotting brown ones.
This one was found next to a hedgerow, fantastic colour which maybe hasn't fully come out in the photo. Last time I found a fungus this colour it turned out to be Stropharia caerulea but with all the flecking round the cap and stipe I reckon this might be aeruginosa
Lastly this Clitocybe which was in another more open hedgerow. Due to the size I think it must be geotropa but it does seem very white even for that. Not cloudy enough for nebularis and the big ones (15cm or so) too big and not wavy enough for phyllophila.
Any comments welcome

| | | Re: Rain at last! Hi Giuliano, thanks for the Leocopaxillus suggestion, you might well be right there, I had dismissed because the one in my book looked much chunkier but a quick trawl around google images has some that look a lot like the ones I found. We were walking around Belluno earlier this year, not that far from you.
That's very kind of you Vincent - some of them rather blurred as we were in a bit of a hurry and I think that a loss of temper would have occurred if I'd got my tripod out! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
