| | | Fungi I.D please with apology Ill start with the apology,i went out into the New Forest with no intention what so ever to photograph any fungus,anyway one thing lead to another and here is today's find,ive just read the ' help us help you ' thread and have realised i took no notice at all of habitat etc so can be of no help on that front im affraid sorry
I post these with a promise that if i do any more fungus photography i'll make lots of notes
I have however just spent the last half hour trawling the Gallery and managed to id some  but there are still some unsures and dont knows
The ones i think ive got right are;
1  Common puffball?
2  Common Earthball?
3  Honey Fungus?
And the dont knows,

9  (quite big, about 12" wide and 8" high)

The one recognisable at a glance is #5 Coprinopsis picacea - Magpie Inkcap (one of my all time favourites). The others need a bit of a closer inspection and no doubt whilst in the process someone else will have made the indentifications.

#8 is one of the Ganodermas
#7 is Trametes versicolor (unless it had a mazelike pore surface underneath, in which case Lenzulites betulinus is a possiblity. |

David | I only went into the Forest to do some Autumn landscape photography, an hour later and i was still looking for Fungus,not one landscape picture had been taken!!
