Gallery photos of Stropharia aurantiaca and that is just like it. It would be growing on twigs then, rather than soil/leaf litterl
Is there a relationship between that and the LBJ's it was found growing with on five different patches?
I must say I've had some really good finds today, from two beautiful examples of shaggy inkcap, to shaggy parasol and a possible
russula atropurpurea (waiting for sporeprint for that), a lovely (pink) lilac bonnet, stump puffballs, fairy inkcaps, and yet more honey fungus, among others. It's amazing what a difference a bit of rain has made.
Still nothing in the pony-grazed grassland though
