| | | Small Waxcap for ID Help Please Found today in a wet shady / mossy area of Fagus woodland.
Not the sort of area that I would have associated with red waxcaps.
Quite small, so any potential ID from photos may be further hindered.
Cap only about 4mm across. Stipe about 15mm tall overall.
Any suggestions most welcome.

Ken | Don't forget substrangulata . . . as Boertmann says of that species in his monograph:
"This taxon is easily confused with H. miniata. The squamules on the pileus are often less conspicuous, but a reliable identification is only obtained after microscopical examination . . . "
