| | | Which agaricus is this?
Is this just a rather odd-looking Agaricus campestris?

Reason: Replaced images with thumbnails

Before the mods delete this thread for contravening the regulations regarding external images I would suggest you upload these images of Agaricus augustus - The Prince to a WAB Gallery and re-link from there.
Cheers
David
P.S. Apologies -- they are in the Image Gallery just not thumbnails

| | | Re: Which agaricus is this? Geoff,
I see that your photos have actually been uploaded to the Image Library, but you are somehow linking them to your posts as though they are external images, which might result in the Mods deleting the thread.
Perhaps this might help: -
Once your photo's have been uploaded into either the Gallery (or Image Library), to get them into your forum posts, start a new response post, or a new thread post, and you will see two links " Gallery Images" & "Library Images" at the right hand side of the text entry box.
Just click on the relevant link and a pop-up window showing your photo's will appear.
To get one of your photo's into your post, just click on the thumbnail of the required photo in the pop-up window, and the forum code will automatically be entered in your post.
Once the code is in your post, you can copy & paste it to any chosen cursor point, and you can see what your post will look like before submitting it by clicking on the "preview post" tab at the bottom.
Regards,
Mike. |

Interesting..... | I can see what you mean, because the stem looks unusually long and thin. But both Agaricus and Macrolepiota have free gills, so the gill attachment doesn't help. Looking at the ring can give more of a clue and here it looks much more like the ring of an Agaricus, as has been suggested. Of course, a nice spore print would have been the clincher. But these are Agaricus. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
