I was checking a squash of a bit of the Peziza found the other day, and looking at the asci and scrolled up and low and behold, lots of 'microfungi'     .  40x  10x
Fungi within fungi .... any idea what it really is? They are pretty neat, good enough for the supermarket shelf I think .....

Did you ever work out what this is?
I've just stumbled upon a French website which suggests it could be the Peziza in it's anamorphic state.
Just thought you might be interested...
