| | | S Devon Foray Company I live in Plymouth and wondered if there is anyone local who'd like to join me for some fungi forays? I know a fair bit and mostly want to photograph mushrooms (I don't like the taste of most of them) but it would be good to have some company while looking for them if anyone's local and interested in joining me? |

If you have no luck with this forum, you might like to enquire through your local Wildlife Trust and see if there is a fungal group in your area.
Good luck,
Neil. |

You will probably discover from the Devon Wildlife Trust that the Association of British Fungus Groups has 3 member groups in the southwest - in Cornwall, West Devon, and East Devon. We ask people to join the Association with a modest annual subscription, and it will certainly bring you into contact with like-minded people. The ABFG is family-orientated - bring the kids, bring the dog and, on the more serious side of foraying, we are developing very substantial fungal datasets for Devon/Cornwall as part of the national CATE database.

| | | Re: S Devon Foray Company Thank you for your kind replies.
I was rather hoping for just a local person or people to go out with, rather than an organisation. This is partly because I really can't afford membership fees, no matter how small, but also because I'd like to just be able to go on a walk whenever and wherever, not on an organised walk once a month kind of thing.
Would anyone be interested? | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
