| | | Re: Mycena? and blue mould? ID The cap colour seems to agree more with M.arcangeliana, but I would be 'inclined' to go for inclinata, but Mal is your man for these.
In the absence of Chris, I shall run riot and suggest it is more of a blue-green mould you have there in your first photo.
Several types of asexual or more correctly 'mitosporic' fungi produce these colour moulds.
I shall bandy a few genera about such as Pennicillium, Hypomyces, Aspergillus and Cladosporium as to what you may have there, and when Chris comes back from the pub, he will hopefully narrow it down for you.
Neil.

nothing much to add - so many of these things require culturing (and that is mostly beyond us amateurs) plus such work can be downright dangerous - you don't necessarily want to have petri dishes full of Aspergillus spores in the home
surely that is M. archangeliana? I'm no expert on Mycena but . . .
Chris

| | | Re: Mycena? and blue mould? ID Thanks Neil and Chris.
I will stick with arcangeliana for now then, the colours (on my monitor) are pretty close to the actual ones.
The lab once grew aspergillus from samples taken from the undercroft of a building I have responsibility for which caused quite a stir so blue-green mould will do for me.
