Your fungi are Glistening Inkcaps - Coprinellus micaceus. (Until recently the name was Coprinus micaceus).

There are completely inedible Inkcaps, and others of unknown edibility, which don't look too dissimilar to C.micaceus.
And, condition, recent weather conditions, whether the caps are wet or dry, etc. etc. can all affect how a photo might look on screen.
They look like C.micaceus, but I wouldn't be prepared to guarantee 100% that they are.
If you can get them identified in the flesh, by a fungi expert, then all well and good.
Many poisonings, and several fatalities happen every year, because people get ID's wrong. - Better safe than sorry.

| | | Re: Help With ID That's quite alright, thank you for being blunt. I've not eaten any and from what i've been reading they aren't exactly a taste sensation so i'll not bother getting them checked out in the flesh. As you say, Better safe than sorry. |

| | | Re: Help With ID best to stick to ones you're 100% on or ones which are easily and widely recognised. i never bother with a lot of edibles, simply because i'm either not sure on them, or its just not worth it with a lot of them | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
