Chris | I'm not too sure what is in there to be honest. I know that whatever is in there sprouted up Hay Makers not so long ago in a pot next to this. All the pot contents are of the same material and all housed Tomato plants. |

Chris | There seem to be the remnants of a partial veil, which has left bits on the edge of the cap and at least a partial ring on some of the specimens.
I'd have thought Conocybe s.l. would have been a good starting point i.e. one of the species in Pholiotina. They usually need microscopy to sort them out.
Are the veil remants yellowishish-brown, by the way, or is that just the effect of the flash? Not that I can recall off the top of my head if that is a helpful character. |

They did though indeed have rings or at least some of them
I have added another a picture of them and i hope this might be of a little more help and clearer... |

there you go! Andreas would approve - treating Pholiotina as a good genus, distinct from Conocybe!
