Pls ID: Large fan-shaped mushroom on a log (pics)

Hi there,

Apologies for making a request with my first post.

While out with the dog, I came across this large fan-shaped mushroom growing on a log. It's by the side of a fallow field, just off a bridleway.

I first saw it early this week, but only remembered my camera today! It looks a bit ragged on some edges now, after a couple of days' rain.

It looks to me like Dryad's Saddle - Polyporus squamosus

that's exactly what it is - though the mod's won't appreciate linking to an outside image source . . .

They get a lot larger than that. This species can grow truly enormous - over a metre across.
