ID help please.

Found these today in mixed wood.

These were growing on soft vegetation.


These were on a tree stump


Not sure where these ones were growing.

The first is an easy one... The False Death Cap - Amanita Citrina

The second looks like a Honey Fungus

Hi Fishhead,

Due to the lack of pale yellow, these appear to be Amanita citrina var. alba, but that could easily be overexposure.

Your second is the ubiquitous Armillaria mellea, which seems to be running riot on the fungus forum right now.

Hi Fairplay, I don't mind being called Fishhead, it's just a user name I use on another forum and couldn't think of one to use on here.
As for the Amanita citrina. They were very pale, white even, can't remember seeing any yellow on them. I also fould one further on that looked the same but was pale green.

The whole mushroom is a nice creamy yellow

If it looked the same apart from being pale green, then I'd say this could very well have been a true Death Cap - Amanita phalloides.
Did you scrape away any soil from the base to see if it was growing out of a white sac ?

I think you can just make out the sac.

I'm not trying to be rude here but.... have you actually looked at the pictures properly??

First you get its colour wrong, then you completely fail to even notice the sac that this mushroom has. Again i am not wanting to be rude here nor am i trying to offend anybody but they are both pretty obvious.
