Jon | Hi, i have been finding lots of both peronata and maculata over the last two weeks, which were very dry and unlike the usual colours they show when it has been damp, since we got a nice bit of rain i have found a few in their more usual appearance, yours look like the dryer specimens i have been finding recently, hard to tell from your pics, but they look very much like the C.peronata i have been finding among conifers,

I would certainly go for maculata rather than peronata. More crowded cream gills more solid stipe no sign of the hairy foot all point in that direction.

Mal | Having had a closer look at the photos, i think you are probably right with maculata, the gills dont have that yellow/ochre look to them at all, as for the wooly foot, i find that in dryer conditions these have not been as pronounced as would be usual, but all in all maculata does seem a better fit
