Unknown Bolete

Hey Everyone,

Found this bolete growing on the moors next to the only tree (Scots Pine) for around a mile!

Certainly gone past its best but was very red in older specimens in the stem but chrome yellow throughout the stem and flesh - slowly changed a bit blue, more blue in the stem.

Any ideas would be appreciated

Unless anyone has any other ideas i think this is Suillus bovinus (I have had this species here before but never looking like this - more like the specimens in Phillips) it did have a distinct fruity smell which fits.

Although I can not find any reference to it turning blue slowly, or being so yellow in the flesh of the cap and stem.........my head is spinning!

Surely you have two specimens there. One with the yellow stipe could be S. bovinus but the other with the red stipe looks to have blue bruising pores so could be a waterlogged Boletus luridiformis.
