Chris | It took John a really long time to remember what the ID was after you rang him |

When I arrived on Friday evening it was to find a very happy Fungi John who had been out scouring the park for porcelain fungus and had come up trumps with a fallen beech that was just bursting with them...
Beautiful!
And so was this one, in spite of it's name...
Here's a quick view of one of the paths that was snatched (still with the 150mm macro) as we returned to the car...
More later...

I thought it was obvious but then what do I know

| | | Re: WAB at Clumber 2009 - The Final Reckoning! Hello everyone
Just a quick message to say thank you to everyone that attended and made the event so successful. It was a real pleasure to meet old and new friends.
Also, many thanks to Pauline and Ian who took me back home today so I could have a few hours before I return to Clumber tomorrow for 2 weeks of NT fungi events followed by a week at Longshaw … I may have a break in December.
Pauline has just phoned to say she has returned home safely and I’ve given her the result of the ‘Destroying Angel’ find … Did I not mention this …. Ian, Pauline and I found about 8 of them in a small group today! Quite a different species to my last dubious one Wooo Hooo
I’ll hopefully sort out the species list soon and post some pictures.
Thanks once again
John
PS I'll make this a sticky for a while |

| | | Re: WAB at Clumber 2009 - The Final Reckoning! So you had some success on the Sunday and Monday too? (was rather hoping that you'd draw a blank....) .
Not really of course - looking forward to the species list John - including A.virosa!
