A little while ago I posted this thread;
Clavulinas, Thelephora and Lycoperdons (I think).
which contained this picture of an unidentified puffball,
Which provoked some discussion as to whether it was L. pyriforme or L. molle.
This week I went back and collected the mature fungus. Unfortunately I couldn't dig down to see if it was growing on rotten wood as it had come away from its substrate. ( I am fairly confident that I've got the right one as the only other puffball in that area was an easily recognisable L. foetidum).
Would anyone be interested in taking a (microscopic) look at it to determine the species (this being beyond my capabilities as yet).
