Beach Fungi
I saw these on a beach on the Gower in Wales. The looked rather odd, just sticking out of the sand!



Any ideas what they are, anyone?

Hi Jim,

If there was Marram grass nearby and these were deeply rooted, these are most likely to be Psathyrella ammophila.
With those dark gills I can't think of anything else it could be in this habitat.
