Bright yellow

Can someone help with ID of this specimen found in a cow pasture and stained everything bright yellow:

I think it is slime mould. A lot of the fungus in my garden is covered in it. Like this....

Its another fungus growing on a bolete - Apiocrea chrysopermum - common enough and a nice cheap addition to a day list. Hope that helps.

An old one to reply to but actually, to be perfectly correct, this is the asexual state of Apiocrea chrysosperma, called Sepedonium chrysospermum - the sexual, ascospore stage is exceedingly rarely found in Britain !
