| | | Identification please Is this a Parasola plicatilis? I can't find any info in my book or elsewhere. Thanks
My Flickr page moira2009
I tried to put a link to my Flickr page with the image but am not allowed. I hold the copyright of all my images so will not be posting any more. Have searched for this fungi but not found a definitive match. Some good images on here.

| | | Re: Identification please Hi moira123, and welcome to WAB.
Your photo link will undoubtedly be removed shortly by the mods., as external photo links aren't allowed on WAB.
It would be much better (for the longevity of the thread) if you actually upload a copy of your photo to WAB's Image Library.
Details of how to do that on this thread: - http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/fo...otos-info.html

Mike. |

(In the very exceptional circumstance that they would actually want to).
Have a read of WAB's FAQ's relating to image uploads - and as detailed on the upload page.
Unless your images are in demand for cash payments, I wouldn't be too concerned - You have them on Flikr,
Your choice at the end of the day, but you will be missing out on a great deal of expertise.

Mike. |

| | | Re: Identification please Thanks have uploaded an image now, was just concerned this site would make money out of my images but have set the dpi to 72 so not a lot of use anyway.

Don;t how to link to the post as it is awaiting approval. This is a good site for wildlife - have only just found it. | Hi moira123,
Glad that you are joining the club.
I suspect that you have uploaded your image to the Gallery?
The Gallery is reserved for identified photos, that meet WAB's requirements for photo quality etc.
Any images for identification need to be uploaded to the Image Library, where they aren't subject to mods. approval, and are available to be inserted into posts immediately. (There are details of how to copy an image from the Image Library into your post on the above noted Photo Info thread).
I know this probably seems a little complicated, but your image (unless fully identified and tagged) will certainly be deleted when the mods are doing the approval procedure.
It will be best if you upload again to the Image Library. You will then be able to get your pic into the fungi forum straight away.
Regards,
Mike.

| | | Re: Identification please I'd agree with Nick.
The felty scaled stipe makes it Hare's-foot Inkcap - Coprinopsis lagopus* (*Recent name change from Coprinus lagopus) for me.
