Identification confirmation?
I have had this shot in the Gallery for a few weeks now and I think I have misnamed it. The more I look at it the more I think it is Amanita crocea instead of A. fulva, any thoughts or is it A. fulva

The scaly stem and thick volva with peach-coloured stains do suggest it could be a washed out Amanita crocea.

Hello Ron, I absolutely agree with MwNn.
Here is a washed out image of a washed out one() that grows in my village, the key shapes and textures are spot on. They really bleach in colour quickly in full sun.
