Identification Request please
Photographed mid August .... difficult to get up close as VERY high up a tree.
Dinner plate size. As always .... any help gratefully received. Heather

I'm very new to fungi, so this is just a suggestion, but what about Polyporus sp.?

Maybe P. squamosus?

I think that is a good suggestion Adam, though I can't see any squamules atop the cap. However, the size and colour is a pointer! I'm on my phone so I can't see the pictures at a decent size but I think Adam's suggestion is good

old dessicated polyporus squamosus, especialy as its on a sycamore or for the latin lovers acer psuedoplatanus
