| | | 3 Fungi for Identification please. The first, a Russula? with a green cap, growing in mixed woodland.
This tiny fungus was growing in moss under conifers, ring present halfway up stem
The last was growing in soil and moss in mixed woodland.

| | | Re: 3 Fungi for Identification please. I fancy either Galerina or Conocybe for the second.
The last is one of the complex around A. rubescens, I remember Cybershot having something very similar to this (slender, pale but with blushing) in 2007. |

| | | Re: 3 Fungi for Identification please. second looks very like much like Conocybe section Pholiotina - that's it without a microscope I'm afraid
Andreas would say that he thinks Pholiotina should be a separate genus (and for what's it's worth I think he's right)
oh - and for the record Ron - that is not tiny
cheers
Chris

| | | Re: 3 Fungi for Identification please. I'll jump in and get shot down on no. 1 with the comment that it could well be russula cyanoxantha, the charcoal burner. Color varies, but green is a definite possibility. The acid test: it's the only of the russulas (brittle gills) that does NOT have brittle gills.
