Hello and Help

Hello All.

I have recently returned to the UK after 8 years. Decided to swap California for Carmarthenshire.

Having to learn a lot of things all over again, not least where to find some Boletus edulis and Cantharellus cibarius!!

Have scoured local areas and spent last weekend dragging my pregnant wife around the Brechfa Forest. All we found were Birch polypores, an unidentifed Russula (they were everywhere) and a lone non-edulis Bolete that was a very cute 1 inch tall.

Very glad I found this site, lots of cracking info and like-minded souls.

If anyone in the greater Carmarthenshire area knows a very vague location nearby where I may find some tasty treats, I'll gladly drive them there and back!!

Hello and welcome. Last year i found plenty of Cantharellus cibarius and Hyndum repandum in Dyfi forest if thats any help.
