unidentified fungi anyone help?
Could anyone please identify the following - it is a 2 cms high dark brown fungi growing out of moss covered decaying log

The only thing I can think of that starts of life like this is Laccaria amethystea

Thanks for the reply Mal, but it stayed this shape and colour for almost five days, and thus I do not think it could be The Deceiver. I've trawled through the WAB picture Gallery and gone through most of Roger's Mushrooms but cannot find anything that slightly resembles this but thanks again for the reply
