| | A wierd polypore and a toothy one for ID please Hi all, I have no idea what these are! found growing on a willow i had to fell today samples in back garden so any points can be measured etc for clarity if needed. ive never see a polypore with a wierd shape like this, but it looks kind of squamosus in colour but it is way to small for that being around 3 inches across?
Thank you all in advance, your help is valued |

| | | Re: A wierd polypore and a toothy one for ID please Thanks chris and nick, tuberaster! cool, now you say it, it makes sense cos the stipe is realy wide for the size of it, thats cool another polypore to my species list and i have the branch in the garden with it intact so will rehydrate and see what occurs! maybe even introduce some spores to whippendell!
what is your background in this nick? and you chris? i really want to study this subject but have found no courses on it or decent material laboratory/microscope guidance etc.
and I could send you a sample of it if your that keen to ID!
