| | | Chanterelles...or false hope? Hi
I found a cluster of these growing among birch trees this morning and almost burst into song. Then stopped myself short at the thought that they might be Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca. So I picked a couple and thought I'd ask the good folk of WAB to dispel or confirm my fears. I reckon the gills look fairly "fold" like to me - whaddya reckon?
Thanks Finn.
p.s. This is my 1st go at adding images to a post - so apologies if I've cocked it up and there's nothing to look at!! |

Once you find Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca you'll never be confused again.
