| | | Fungus for ID please
I spotted this on a log at the start of someone's drive in Hudnall, Herts., today. Just wondered what it might be.
Thanks. |

I had the exposure setting on -1/3, so possibly it's a bit underexposed, but the colours look right from what I can remember. |

My comments on variation from specimen to specimen in another thread remain so with colour of fruitbodies! |

| | | Re: Fungus for ID please it just had a pink tinge to it thats all, but i saw a very fresh bunch yesterday that also had this tinge, i am asuming it is because it is so fresh as ALL the other Gibossa ive seen have been pure white or algae covered and pea green.
was just an observation, worth a mention I thought?
they dont ALWAYS have that pinkish tinge, was worth making a mental note for future reference as until yesterday and this image a colour difference was new to me and maybe others?
I have noticed many fungi can show certain colourations on certain substrates, maybe due to phenolic compounds in angiosperm (broadleaf) and terpenes in gymnosperms (conifers) | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
