yes, when young and fresh, but former girlfriend and I got very ill after eating one at that stage . . .

to be honest, I would let this one pass through the control, concerning its age. At least judging from the foto. If I had it in hand, I have a measure what is fresh enough and what is old: If you press your finger tip with light pressure on the cap, and it gives a deepening which stays, then they are too old. Works pretty well, also in the normal Birch Bolet of course.

@seamusaglenn: That doesn't mean, that I gave this one free for eating! I'm not allowed to make any expertising for eating by pictures and this has good reasons.
