tree fungus

this one has me beat........!
should be easy! but! Growing on old deciduous, in Salisbury centre near the river avon,late at night, so poor pics, no time etc etc, too much beer and so on, but only a fungi smell and its out of the trunk, at various heights, appears to have a veil and stem and I'm oficially puzzled.

The only thing I could suggest would be very mature Agrocybe cylindracea. There's nothing else with a cap and stipe like that I can think of that would grow on that substrate.

Thanks a lot Nick - it had me stumped(!) - that looks a really good call , Agrocybe cylindracea - Jordan points out its normally on willow/poplar, which would be probable near the river, plus that the cap crazes with age, gills/spores turn brown and the veil ring persists -all right for what I noted and on the pics.
infrequent too! New one for me.
