| | | Fungi Recognition ? Please could anyone identify this ? It looks like it ought to be obvious, but !'ve tried the Field Guide and Encyclopeadia to no avail. It was found in chalky grassland, N. Hampshire, near oak, beach and ash wood. There were some larger specimens nearby. |

| | | re: Fungi Recognition ? Despite the abscence of a mention for the usual host it looks to be Leccinum scabrum - Brown Birch Bolete with the colour of cap and blackish scales on white stipe.
