| | | Dunnet Forest Fungus This is the most northerly fungus I snapped on my trip, growing under conifers in Dunnet Forest.  
Have to say I was a bit surprised when I turned one over. Pretty sure it's a Suillus, pretty sure not grevillei.

Looks like Suillus flavidus to me, which is a nice find. I've only ever seen it in Scotland. |

yes, I also say Suillus flavidus. The ring zone is only visible in wet weather, because it is totally consisting of slime. In dry wheather it dries to nothing ...
