I'm not worried in the slightest about confusion with the other Amanita species as I'm confident with ID in that area  | read the quote that i quoted to understand my quote.
To be honest it would be very unlikely that i would get confused between the two.... and i wouldn't eat Amanita rubescens because it has haemotoxins. Amanita rubescens would go in the same list as the shaggy ink cap as far as i'm concerned. |
